Last week marked the grand opening of one of our recently completed commercial projects in Sydney’s tech district Surry Hills. This new-age office development is HQ for global technology company SafetyCulture Pty Ltd.
This ultramodern 9-story ‘state of the art’ space has been designed to encourage greater collaboration and innovation amongst teams, with customer-themed meeting rooms, an onsite kitchen with chefs, state of the art gym and event spaces.
Some are calling this the future of ‘the great re-engagement’ of workers back to corporate offices after COVID-19.
“Particular things our team is loving is the dining room downstairs……we’ve got a rooftop with amazing views over Sydney, and we’ve got three bars in the building, a gym and lots of collaborative spaces” – Kenya Fryer, Workplace Experience Director at Safety Culture.
The 4,200 square metre commercial project has been designed with a combination of passive and active elements which scored 5.5 energy ranking from the National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS).
Project inclusions to help achieve this sustainability result involved high-performance glazing; building fabric to minimise heating and cooling loads as well as reduce its overall energy consumption.
This site also included the addition of a 15-kilowatt solar PV system to offset power consumption from the grid.
Congratulations to our entire Project Team on this outstanding job and a special thank you to our partners @stasiaproperty Candalepas Associates and all our sub-contractors who worked tirelessly with us to achieve this amazing result.
