Infinity Constructions partnered with Sense of Self and RITZ&GHOUGASSIAN to deliver a transformative wellness destination within a former antique warehouse in the heart of Surry Hills, Sydney.
Spanning 1,200m² across two levels, the project involved the adaptive reuse of the existing building to create a highly immersive environment centred on wellbeing, restoration and sensory experience. The delivery required the careful integration of complex wet areas, specialist services and premium architectural finishes, balancing the character of the original structure with the requirements of a contemporary wellness facility.
Designed by RITZ&GHOUGASSIAN, the space unfolds as a carefully choreographed journey through a diverse collection of hydrotherapy, thermal, sensory and treatment environments. Anchored by a dramatic central staircase, guests are guided through a series of interconnected spaces that prioritise calmness, comfort and intentional design.
The completed facility includes expansive Finnish saunas, cold plunge pools, sensory deprivation pools and a traditional hammam finished in honey jasper granite. Additional spaces include head-spa suites, premium change facilities and a dedicated deep-listening room, where bespoke acoustics and soundscapes create a uniquely immersive experience.
At the heart of the project sits a striking hot mineral pool, framed by the building’s original concrete columns and celebrating the warehouse’s industrial heritage. Throughout the project, significant attention was given to preserving and exposing key elements of the existing structure, creating a dialogue between old and new while enhancing the overall guest experience.
The successful delivery of Sense of Self reflects the close collaboration between Sense of Self, RITZ&GHOUGASSIAN and the broader project team. Through careful planning, detailed coordination and a commitment to quality craftsmanship, the project has transformed a historic warehouse into one of Sydney’s most distinctive wellness destinations.

Commercial Wellness Construction Sydney
The completed Sense of Self wellness centre in Surry Hills showcases Infinity Constructions’ expertise in delivering complex, design-led commercial spaces. Working alongside Sense of Self and RITZ&GHOUGASSIAN, Infinity transformed a former antique warehouse into a 1,200m² wellness destination spanning two levels.
Completed in October 2026, the project required careful coordination of specialist building services, complex wet areas and premium architectural finishes. Finnish saunas, hot mineral and cold plunge pools, sensory deprivation pools, a traditional hammam and dedicated treatment spaces were integrated within the existing structure, creating an immersive environment focused on wellbeing and restoration.
A defining feature of the project is the balance between contemporary wellness facilities and the warehouse’s original industrial character. Retained concrete columns and exposed building elements sit alongside carefully detailed new interiors. This approach reflects Infinity’s broader experience in adaptive reuse and heritage construction, where existing buildings are transformed to accommodate modern requirements while retaining their architectural identity.
The project also demonstrates the detailed coordination and craftsmanship central to Infinity’s hospitality construction capabilities. From specialist services integration to the delivery of guest-focused environments, Sense of Self highlights the importance of construction quality in creating distinctive commercial experiences.
