The MBA of NSW held its premier 2026 Excellence in Construction Awards Gala on Saturday, 24 October 2026, at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney, Darling Harbour.
We are pleased to share that Scape Kensington received the award for Student Accommodation up to $80 million.
Recognising the Scape Kensington Project Team

An outstanding achievement for our Scape Kensington team, who were recognised for the successful delivery of the recently completed Scape Kensington Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) project.
We are honoured to receive this award for Scape Kensington and recognise the collective effort of the Infinity Constructions team, Scape Australia, Plus Architecture, and all our project partners, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers in achieving this outcome. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this project to life.
Beyond the award itself, Scape Kensington demonstrates the expertise and collaboration required to deliver complex, high-density student accommodation in Sydney’s established urban environment. Completed in May 2025, the 20-storey development combines contemporary student living with thoughtfully designed communal spaces and ground-floor retail. The project also achieved a 6 Star Green Star Design & As Built v1.3 rating, reflecting its strong sustainability credentials.
Together, these achievements highlight Infinity Constructions’ commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable developments that create lasting value for clients and the communities they serve.

Behind the Award: The Scape Kensington Project
Scape Kensington is a 20-storey purpose-built student accommodation development on Anzac Parade, in Sydney’s Kensington university precinct. Infinity Constructions delivered the project for Scape Australia under a Design and Construct contract, working with Plus Architecture. The development includes a substantial basement, retail space and communal facilities for residents.
The project’s sustainability achievements were supported by practical design and construction initiatives, including low-carbon concrete and steel, solar energy integration, EPD-certified materials, water-efficient systems and improvements to indoor environmental quality. These measures demonstrate how the Infinity Constructions team incorporated sustainability into the delivery of a complex high-rise development, contributing to the project’s 6 Star Green Star certification.
