The Bankstown RSL is a Sydney commercial construction project that comprised a significant bulk earthworks package including excavation and piling of the vacant site, basement car park, two club levels and two levels of car parking over as well as kerb and gutter and footpath upgrades. The gross floor area is 18,000m2.
The new club is situated on a 6,000m2 site and due to the structural solution being precast panels plus insitu post-tensioned floor slabs, the crane solution was challenging in the context of the CASA height limit plus the length of jib and capacity. Infinity resolved this challenge by using a large hammerhead with a custom jib extension. Infinity also assisted the client in negotiating the airspace rights over the 16 neighbouring properties which included the Police and Telstra.
The club facilities include an extensive 300-machine gaming room, conference and meeting room facilities, multiple food offerings, a renowned buffet and live entertainment venues.
The Bankstown RSL was a Sydney commercial construction project that involved a 15m high curved glass wall and feature void with an external feature façade comprising of architectural fins.
