The Illawarra Retirement Trust (IRT) Parkside development in Wollongong comprised the construction of 75 luxury seniors living apartments in a desirable area in the Illawarra. This is a unique senior’s living development in that the client has taken the luxury residences vertically over eight stories and created a new style of living compared to traditional low-rise villa facilities. The luxury apartments were designed to replace a typical hospital setting with a lifestyle setting focused on people-centric care.
The building boasts several features including an imported feature brick facade, luxury appliances and fitments, internal styled winter gardens, and an on-site restaurant.
Infinity Constructions was instrumental in the design and construction of the Parkside development. From the feature imported face brick facade to the modular bathroom pods, preformed wall systems and precast floor components; the project boasts a low embodied energy and minimal waste in construction as well as high quality due to the prefabrication techniques.
The project was crowned the winner at the 2019 MBA Excellence in Construction Awards in the category of Aged Care Buildings ($25,000,001 – $50,000,000).
