A recently completed residential project by our Tier 2 Builders in Sydney, The Pelican is a 16-storey, luxury residential development that includes 3 basement parking levels, 2 commercial levels, 46 apartments, two penthouses with a roof-top spa and deck area.
The luxury finishes included large-scale stone cladding and timber veneer in the lobby and herringbone oak floors and natural stone in the apartments. The penthouses include direct roof-top access for indoor-outdoor living.
The inner-city site was confined and offered limited access. With over 200 nearby residents, vigilant monitoring of construction noise and starting and finishing hours was also required.
Top-down construction, where ground floor slab is laid prior to basement excavation, was required and a temporary bridge needed to be built as trucks could not be loaded on the street.
The geometrically precise façade uses an ‘off-form’ finish to the concrete with no additional finish added, a construction innovation developed specifically for this project. Construction was completed on time and within budget. The client and architect, both of whom had worked with Infinity previously, were very satisfied with Infinity Constructions performance on the project.
